MercuryGate, a Cary-Based Software Firm Acquired by Investment Firm

MercuryGate is a Cary-based logistics technology company. It was announced that the tech company will be acquired by Summit Partners, a Boston investment company. At this time, financial terms have not been disclosed. 

MercuryGate creates software solutions for complex transportation freight management. Founded in 2000, there has been exponential growth over the years. As of Last year, the company managed more than  $70 billion a year. 

In addition to the change, Joe Julliano will be the CEO, replacing Monica Wooden, MercuryGate’d founder. She will then become Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder. MercuryGate’s President Steve Blough will become Chief Product Officer.
