Vitis House Announces Launch of New WSET® (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Spirits Course
Chef Doreen Colondres of Vitis House is excited to announce the launch of her WSET® (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 1 Spirits Course to be taught by certified instructor and award winning Whiskey Ambassador, Raj Sabharwa. The first of its kind in North Carolina, the Level 1 course will offer a beginner level introduction to spirits for those starting a career in the industry or pursuing an interest in spirits. The course explores the basic principles of spirit production and understanding the style and key factors affecting aroma and flavor of spirits through sight, smell and taste. The certified WSET® instructor will guide each student through the tasting of more than 10 spirits from around the world. The course is May 15, 2021 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at the The Loading Dock 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd #115 Raleigh, NC 27604.
WSET® Level 1 Spirits Course
This new offering is the only WSET® Spirits course in North Carolina. There are no prerequisites for this course but the student must be of legal drinking age in order to participate in the spirits tasting. Price includes the WSET® Level 1 Spirits study guide, tuition, printed materials, exam, certificate and lapel pin (certificate and lapel pin will only be given if the exam is passed with a 70% or above). Exams dates will be scheduled at Vitis House once a month. Remote Invigilation Exams are also available per request.
